1. The agreement
The agreement consists of the information shown during checkout, these terms and any separately agreed conditions. Separately agreed conditions take precedence where they do not reduce mandatory consumer rights.
Before confirming an order, the buyer can review and correct the product, size, quantity, delivery information and other entries. The contract may be concluded in Norwegian or English. The order confirmation and applicable terms shall be sent electronically without undue delay.
2. Prices and charges
The checkout shows the total product price in Norwegian kroner. Any VAT, shipping and other charges shall be shown before the buyer becomes bound. The buyer shall not pay charges that were not clearly disclosed before ordering.
3. Payment
Available payment methods are shown during checkout. Nordy plans to offer Vipps and Klarna. Payment is processed by the selected provider under that provider's security and privacy terms.
The purchase becomes binding when the buyer completes the order that carries an obligation to pay. An automatic receipt confirmation does not guarantee stock if an obvious technical error has occurred; Nordy will then contact the buyer and refund any amount paid.
4. Production and delivery
Expected preparation time, delivery method, destination and price are shown before the order is completed. If no delivery time is agreed, Norwegian consumer law applies, including delivery without undue delay and normally no later than 30 days after the order.
Risk passes to the buyer when the buyer, or a third party appointed by the buyer, has taken physical possession of the goods.
5. Right of withdrawal
For online purchases, consumers generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal. The period starts the day after the buyer, or a third party other than the carrier appointed by the buyer, receives the goods. The buyer must send a clear notice before the period ends and return the goods without undue delay, no later than 14 days after giving notice.
Nordy refunds payments covered by the withdrawal without undue delay and no later than 14 days after receiving notice. A refund may be withheld until the goods are received or the buyer provides evidence of return. The buyer bears direct return costs where this was disclosed before purchase.
The buyer may inspect the goods as they would in a physical shop. The buyer may be responsible for reduced value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
6. Personalised goods
The right of withdrawal may not apply to goods made to the buyer's specifications or given a clearly personal character. The exception applies only when the statutory conditions are met and the buyer was clearly informed before ordering. Ordinary standard choices do not automatically remove the right of withdrawal.
7. Delay, defects and complaints
Norwegian consumer purchase law applies to delay and defects. Depending on the circumstances, the buyer may require performance, withhold payment, request repair or replacement, a price reduction, cancellation and/or damages.
A complaint must be made within a reasonable time after the defect was or should have been discovered. Notice within two months will normally be timely. The absolute period is generally two years, or five years where the goods are intended to last substantially longer than two years under normal use.
8. Complaints and disputes
Contact Nordy first so the matter can be resolved. If the parties cannot agree, the consumer may request mediation from the Norwegian Consumer Authority and, where applicable, refer the matter to the Norwegian Consumer Complaints Board. Norwegian law applies without limiting mandatory rights available to consumers in another country.
